Rogue Solar FAQ's

Do solar panels actually last as long as people say?

Yes — the panels we put on your roof carry a 25-year warranty, and real-world data shows most are still cranking out 80%+ of their original power at that mark. Degradation is slow, not sudden.

What does installation day actually look like?

A site visit and custom layout come first. Once permits clear, our crew is usually in and out within one to two days — mounting, wiring, inspection, done. You won't lose power at any point during the process.

Realistically, how much will I save?

Rogue Solar customers typically see their electric bill drop 70-100%. The exact number depends on your roof orientation, shading, and how much power you use — we'll run the actual math for your address before you sign anything.

So I go solar — do I still get a bill from the power company?

A small one, usually. It covers staying connected to the grid and any power you pull at night. Net metering credits from your daytime production often cancel most of it out.

What happens to the panels if I eventually sell my house?

They stay with the house. Buyers pay a premium for homes with solar already installed, and we can transfer your warranty and any financing directly to the new owner — one phone call, no headaches.

Will my system still produce anything when it's overcast?

It won't stop working, just slow down. Expect somewhere between 10% and 25% of peak output on a gray day. Rain actually helps — it rinses the panels.

Are there tax breaks or rebates where I live?

Almost certainly something, on top of the 30% federal credit. Every state handles this differently, so we pull your local incentives during the quote so there's no guesswork.

What do I need to do to keep the system running well?

Not much. Hose them off occasionally, let us do a yearly check, and that's about it. We also monitor performance remotely, so if output dips, we usually catch it before you notice.
